A Kazak Rug

A Kazak Rug, Southwest Caucasus, late 19th C to early 20th C. A very unusual Caucasian Kazak rug with crabs on the overall field, a relatively rare composition of elements that are generally used in the borders. Elegant arrow and trellis wide single border surrounds the repeating composition in the field.
