A Kazak Rug, Southwest Caucasus, early 20th C, with polychromatic large latch hooks. This is probably from a village workshop, southwest of the Caucasus, bordering on Genje in the northeast and on Karabagh in the southeast. Thick lustrous wools throughout. Grey black & dyed red wool weft. Goat's wool warp.
