FINE GOLD, RUBY AND DIAMOND CHANDRAHAR (NECKLACE)

SOUTH INDIA, c. 1920, comprising of ten rows of gold cut flower patterned chain set with fine Burmese cabochon rubies in the centre of each flower, suspended by two large triangle lockets inset with fine rubies, sapphires and a square emerald in the centre and surrounded by circular rubies. The rubies weigh 430 carats approximately, the emerald weighs 2 carats approximately and the diamond weighs 2.5 carats approximately, set in 22 carat gold, weighing 429.30 grams.
