A Middle Atlas Beni Ouarain Pile Carpet, Morocco, early 20th C. These huge white ground carpets from Morocco are relatively rare to find in old examples. They are generally woven with white and brown or black udyed wool in very minimal and abstract compositions, almost with a modern design undertone. This example is characteristic of the Beni Ouarain tribe from the northeastern middle Atlas mountain region. 12 ft by 6 ft 5 in
