In this Murshidabad School painting, Shiva is wearing a marriage 'mukut', no shirt on his body, only a Tiger skin wrapped around his thighs and the Snake garland around the neck. Parvati is seated on a wooden seat known as 'Pinri' that is being carried by an attendant. Other gods like Krishna and Brahma are standing on his right side. Narada Muni is also seen standing behind with a musical instrument. Assembled on the left side are ladies in traditional attire and one of them is holding materials for the marriage rituals. Shiva's carrier Brisha (Bull) is sitting in the right corner. The courtyard is lit up with candles in haandi's hanging from the ceiling (Anjan Sen, Ex-Tagore Research Scholar & Author of notable books on Bengal School works).
