Details

Abdul Aziz Raiba was born in Mumbai, where he studied at Sir J.J. School of Art. He began painting in the early 1950s, using simple but sophisticated colours, coupled with distinct outlines and bold forms. His career as an artist spanned over three decades, during which he participated in several exhibitions, including the Shirom Art Gallery and Taj Art Gallery (both in Mumbai), the Exhibition of Indian Contemporary paintings in Milan, and the All Indian Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS) in New Delhi. He has also received numerous medals from the Bombay Art Society. Many of his paintings are on display in collections at the Cairo Museum in Egypt, the National Gallery of Modern Art in Delhi, and the Nagpur Museum in Madhya Pradesh.
