A Kurdish Runner

A Kurdish Runner, North Persia, late 19th C to early 20th C. This runner with a rare sky blue field colour has wonderful high pile and vibrant colours - green, red, orange and light and dark indigo. Likely woven by the Kurds of Northern Persia. Includes an interesting set of symbols such as stylized crosses that are more commonly associated with Shahsavan weavings.
