A Kurdish Runner Fragment

A Kurdish Runner Fragment, Northwest Persia, late 19th C. A striking, old Kurd runner fragment with good colour. This runner was made somewhere in the Northwestern part of Persia, most likely the product of Kurdish weavers. The field design is very uncommon. The main border is a series of connected fancy S elements on a red ground. The outer and inner borders are typical Kurdish designs. 8 ft 7 in by 2 ft 10 in
