A rare, original preparatory work for a classical Tanjore (Thanjavur) painting, depicting a Standing Ganesha, in the posture of Panduranga of Pandharpur, in Maratha costume. The areas for gold foiling and embellishment with semi-precious gems are well defined, making this an exquisite stand-alone painting.
