Details
Here, the Maharaja of Madhopur, wearing richly gold embroidered green velvet 'Jama', is seated in a red upholstered western chair. The red small round tilak on the forehead indicates the religious affiliation of the Royal family. Being bereft of any sword, as is customarily held, the portrait indicates gentleness in the personality of the Maharaja. This fact is further reaffirmed by his gentle gaze. His arms are resting on that of the chair and half closed fists are positioned for a formal portrait
