A stunning work from 1998, in the shades of gold and silver, this painting speaks of Husain’s genius and delineates the prime of his mastery in handling form and space. In stark lines he divides the compositional space that is given further momentum by the fierce gestures of the horses. The level of spontaneity is such that one feels the horses to be bursting out in motion from within the bindings of the two dimensional space into reality.
