Details
Ram Kumar's works behold a sense of transformation. The gradual transition is through experimentation with various themes such as abstract and figurative.
His abstract works express his sensibility to represent the Indian landscapes and showcase the shifting landscapes, rivers and overhead views and in his figurative works his sympathy for ravaged human kind is evident through the dispersed stylization that shows a sense of mystification, implying helplessness.
Kumar was politically active and worked for the peace movement in 1969 and travelled to America and Mexico on a Rockefeller Fellowship. He is also known as a prolific writer in Hindi and now lives and works in New Delhi.
