G. S. Shenoy was a prominent artist who hailed from Udupi, Karnataka and was known for his energetic abstracts. He was much influenced by nature and abstracted the elements like rocks, foliage and created fleeting images of abstract landscapes. He was prolific in his career and created a lot of murals.
