28 pages including covers, bound with red string, thick grey paper, faded gilt-design cover, title-page, each month with date spaces on right and a colour plate on art paper showing a Hindu mythological scene [involving Damayanti, Savitri, Rama, Bhima and Prahlada among others], drawn by an anonymous western artist, pasted on the facing page with caption printed below (12 colour plates thus).
