a) Fourth Edition, Bombay: Compiled and printed at the "Bombay Gazette" steam press, 1879, 356 pages of guide + 23 pages of directory and index of names + 124 pages of official directory and lists of a variety of information. Large folding map facing the title-page, 28 pages of ads in the beginning and 23 pages of ads at the end.
NOTE:
The guide was published at regular intervals from 1875 to 1902 and all editions are difficult to come by. This is a very rare guide with a mine of information.
CONDITION:
Original maroon cloth with title and price embossed in gilt on cover. Name in ink scrawled on cover. Binding a little faded, spine coming off but present, a piece of spine lacking.
